Death of Loneliness
(c) Elizabeth Fyre SOCAN 2007

My eyes, my hands, turned cold
the dreams, the hopes, I foolishly sold.
I stand here before you, for the taking
my heart now warm, no longer breaking.

And I call, upon this forbidden love
to save me, from the pain
the death of loneliness captured
forever yours, I remain

Lying here, I looked up to a light
whispers so sweet, almost surreal.
Falling deep, I could not fight
for the first time, I could feel.

I want this moment eternally
surrender in my captivity.
